Blade Ball Ability Tier List (November 2026)Updated November 3, 2026
Slashes of Fury, Singularity and Infinity are the strongest abilities in Blade Ball right now. If you only have coins, Freeze, Forcefield and Pull give you the most for the price.
By the Blade Ball Script Team · Updated November 3, 2026
I check this guide against the game and the official links at the bottom, and update it after game updates.
The best Blade Ball abilities are Slashes of Fury, Singularity, Infinity, Dribble and Quantum Arena (S tier). None of them are in the coin shop: most come from event spins, and Quantum Arena comes from Clans. For free players, the best coin abilities are Freeze (2,000), Forcefield (2,000) and Pull (5,000).
Blade Ball has 60 abilities in the main game: 32 you can buy with coins and 28 limited ones from event spins, packs and passes. Your ability decides how you survive a fast ball, so picking the right one matters more than any sword skin.
Below is every ability ranked from S to F, what the top ones actually do, the coin price of all 32 shop abilities, and which one to buy first on a new account.

How we checked this guide
I ranked abilities on four things: how well they control the ball, how hard they are to counter, their cooldown, and how they hold up in close standoffs. Ability stats, cooldowns and prices come from the Blade Ball Wiki ability pages (ability list last updated October 7, 2026).
Rankings are opinions, and the meta moves after every update, so I check this list again after each new pass or ability.
Infinity is the best all-round pick if you can get it. You are invincible while it is active, you can hold the ball for up to 10 seconds, and Time Hole can’t disable it. If you play free, buy Freeze first.

| Quantum Arena | Creates a void that disables everyone’s abilities and freezes players you dash through | Recharges after 1 kill |
| Singularity | Pulls the ball to you from any target, spins it around you for 2 to 5 seconds, then fires it at extreme speed | 24s (20s upgraded) |
| Infinity | Locks the ball in place when it reaches you. You stay invincible and choose when to hit it, within 10 seconds | 28s |

What are abilities in Blade Ball?
Abilities are special powers you trigger during a round to control the ball, escape or defend yourself. Every account starts with Dash.
- Active abilities are triggered with a key or button and then go on cooldown.
- Passive abilities work on their own until you are eliminated.
- Playstyles: offensive (red), defensive (green) and neutral (star).
How to get, equip and use abilities
- Earn coins by playing rounds, or redeem the Blade Ball codes for free spins.
- Open the abilities shop in the lobby and buy an ability with coins, or win a limited one from event spins.
- Equip the ability from your inventory.
- In a round, press Q or right click on PC, X on controller, or the ability button on mobile.
- Upgrade it twice to cut the cooldown and make it stronger. The last upgrade often unlocks a reskin.
Requirements: coin prices for every shop ability
| Ability | Price (coins) |

| Super Jump | 350 |
| Platform | 450 |

| Shadow Step | 1,600 |
| Freeze | 2,000 |
| Wind Cloak | 2,000 |
| Blink | 2,000 |
| Forcefield | 2,000 |

| Hell Hook | 7,500 |
| Qi-Charge | 8,000 |
| Pulse | 10,000 |
| Chieftain’s Totem | 10,000 |
| Blade Trap | 10,000 |
| Flash Counter | 12,500 |
| Absolute Confidence | 15,000 |
| Guardian Angel | 20,000 |
The first upgrade costs half the ability price and the second costs the full price. Absolute Confidence costs the most to fully upgrade (22,500 coins). Guardian Angel has only 1 upgrade.
Most abilities from events or Robux can’t be upgraded with coins. Phase Bypass is the only ability that needs Robux, through the Cyber Pack.
Is it safe to buy abilities or ability accounts?
- Buying abilities with coins or Robux inside the game is safe.
- “Ability accounts for sale” are a risk. Account selling breaks Roblox rules, and the seller can take the account back.
- Abilities can’t be traded, so anyone offering to “trade” you Infinity is scamming.

Update status
Checked November 3, 2026. The wiki ability list was last updated on October 7, 2026. The most recent pass to bring back Singularity was the Pirate Pass (Kraken Spins, August 1 to September 8, 2026), along with Bunny Leap, Dribble and Dragon Spirit.
Jackpot abilities rotate in and out with each pass, so the one you want may return later.
Common problems
| Problem | What is happening |
|---|---|
| Ability feels like it has a long cooldown | The cooldown starts when you press it, not when the effect ends |
| Can’t upgrade an event ability | Most event and Robux abilities can’t be upgraded with coins |
| Can’t buy Infinity or Singularity | They are jackpot abilities and only come back with event spins |
| No abilities in Elementals mode | Elementals uses character kits instead of normal abilities |
| Ability won’t trigger | Check your keybind in settings. Q, right click and E are the defaults on PC |
